Ancestral Hearth Gathering: A Samhain & Día de los Muertos Prayer Circle
Washington, DC
You are warmly invited to join us for an ancestral prayer circle weaving together the spirit of Celtic Samhain and Mexican Día de los Muertos — two traditions that remind us that death is not the end, but a doorway.
When: Saturday, November 1, from 1pm til 7pm
Where: Paul and Channing's DC home, address shared upon registration
What to bring:
- A photo or small item representing ancestors, beloved dead, cultural lineage to place on the shared altar–more flowers are also always appreciated, too!
- A poem, story, prayer, or song to share (sharing is totally optional!)
- A potluck item if you want to stay to share a meal from 6-7pm
Together we will:
🍄🟫 Cross the threshold into a ceremonial space with a light dose of the niños
✨ Share prayers, songs, and stories
🕯️ Offer light, food, and memory to the altar
🌾 Bless the year to come as the old year falls away
If you haven't signed a membership agreement with us yet, please keep an eye out for that form in your inbox. Space is very limited, so please only RSVP if you feel committed to joining us.
May our gathering be a bridge of light between worlds. May the blessings of those who came before guide our steps forward.
